We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations, optimize internal processes, and ensure our teams work efficiently toward company goals. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership to streamline workflows, manage budgets, and drive operational excellence across departments.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight
- Manage daily transport and logistics operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and delivery.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Monitor KPIs such as delivery times and fleet utilization.
- Fleet & Resource Management
- Oversee maintenance and availability of vehicles and equipment.
- Optimize route planning and load management to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Manage third-party transport providers where applicable.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and supervise drivers and other staff.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and workforce planning.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures and incident reporting systems.
- Customer Service
- Work closely with clients to ensure service expectations are met.
- Resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly.
- Financial Management
- Manage operational budgets and control costs (fuel, maintenance, labor).
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Process Improvement
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies.
- Implement systems, technology, and best practices to improve productivity.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 2 years of experience in previous management roles.
- Ability to work early morning.
- Confidence dealing with external customers.
- Business qualification will be preffered.
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make operatinal decisions.
