We are currently seeking experienced and motivated 4 Power Wash Technicians to join our professional team in Waikato region on a full-time permanent basis

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out professional pressure washing, exterior cleaning and general commercial cleaning services using specialised equipment and safe work practices. The role involves cleaning buildings, footpaths, driveways, roofs, vehicles, machinery and other structures while maintaining high safety standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate high-pressure water blasting equipment to clean buildings, exterior walls, roofs, footpaths, driveways, car parks, vehicles, machinery and other structures.
  • Perform commercial and industrial cleaning duties, including washing exterior surfaces and removing dirt, mould, moss, algae, grease, oil, stains and other contaminants.
  • Apply suitable detergents, degreasers and cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and safety procedures.
  • Assess surfaces before cleaning and select appropriate pressure levels and cleaning methods to prevent damage.
  • Prepare, operate, inspect and maintain pressure washing equipment, pumps, hoses, nozzles, water tanks and related tools.
  • Carry out soft washing and low-pressure cleaning where required.
  • Set up work sites safely by placing warning signs, barriers and other traffic or pedestrian controls.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor servicing of cleaning equipment and report faults promptly.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, environmental requirements and safe chemical handling practices.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate job records, equipment maintenance records and service reports.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding work requirements and completed services.
  • Work efficiently to complete scheduled jobs within required timeframes.
  • Maintain vehicles, equipment and storage areas in a clean and organised condition.
  • Assist with other commercial cleaning and maintenance duties as required.

Skills and Experience Required

The successful applicant should have:

  • At least 2–3 years' relevant experience in commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, pressure washing or a related field; or a relevant qualification.
  • Experience operating high-pressure water blasting equipment and commercial cleaning machinery.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, detergents and safe application methods.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • A current full New Zealand Driver Licence is advantageous.
