Lead civil projects end-to-end in the Southern Lakes region with a respected family contractor. This is a hands-on PM role with a tight knit team.About the company:

About the role:
This is a newly created Project Manager position based in Queenstown to support continued growth. You will oversee varied projects from initiation through to completion, managing programmes, subcontractors, contracts, and client relationships. It is a busy role within a small, high-performing team. There is no large corporate structure behind you which means you gain broader exposure to the commercial and operational side of the business.
We are looking for a team player who is not afraid to get their hands and boots dirty – not someone who sits back and manages from a distance. The crews work hard and enjoy what they do, there is strong camaraderie and a genuine pride in the jobs delivered. A sense of humour, humility and a down-to-earth attitude will go a long way here.
Role Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Managing programmes, resources, and site coordination.
  • Leading subcontractor engagement and claims management.
  • Variations, QA, safety, and compliance.
  • Pricing and tendering of works.
Skills & Experience:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proven experience delivering civil construction projects (land development earthworks, drainage, roading)
  • Sound knowledge subcontractor and contract management capability.
  • Strong ability to use initiative with a driven attitude.
  • Proficient communication and relationship-building capabilities.
