What You’ll Do

The primary purpose of this role is to drive audience engagement through innovative, high impact promotional campaigns.

You’ll be the strategic lead for all promotions and activations — ensuring everything we do is on brand, audience first, commercially appealing, and flawlessly executed.

How You’ll Do It

• Develop and lead ZM’s annual promotions and activations strategy, contributing to the wider brand marketing plan alongside content and marketing teams
• Create and deliver innovative, multi‑platform promotional ideas in collaboration with content, digital, marketing and commercial teams
• Lead ZM partnerships and concert activity, ensuring strong alignment with the brand
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional markets, including leading weekly calls to align local promotions with brand content strategy
• Champion the ZM brand in reactive client briefs and integrated sales ideation, ensuring promotions deliver for both audience and advertiser
• Represent the brand at the ideation stage of the integrated sales process
• Work closely with Commercial Integration to ensure proactive commercial opportunities are well communicated and delivered on time
• Ensure all campaigns are executed to the highest standard, within agreed timelines and budgets
• Provide regular market intelligence and insights to inform future promotional strategies
• Manage casual promo staff, including rosters, budgets, timesheets and payroll processes
• Onboard and train new casual promo staff
• Assist with NZ Radio Awards submissions
