We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Grocery Assistant to play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our busy Grocery Store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock shelves with products, ensuring they are organized, visible, and labeled accurately.
Maintain a tidy, visually appealing store with well-stocked shelves and attractive displays.
Greet and assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and packing or carrying groceries.
Operate the cash register efficiently, scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean checkout area.
Assist with inventory management and restocking duties.
Adhere to company policies, including safety and security protocols.
Maintain accurate records of daily sales, supplier purchases, and ledgers.
Handle billing and vouchers to support customer checkout and backend processes.
Unload deliveries, transfer stock, and restock shelves to ensure product availability.
What We’re Looking For
Proficiency in manual tasks like safe lifting and moving stock.
Basic computer skills, including POS systems, Excel, Word, and inventory tools.
A friendly, customer-focused attitude.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
