Now, we're looking for a CAD Technician to join our rocketship team at our state-of-the-art Cambridge/Hamilton headquarters — someone who's passionate about precision, thrives on problem-solving, and takes pride in bringing great designs to life.

This is a hands-on, full-time position at the heart of our Design Team. You'll work alongside engineers, project managers, and manufacturing specialists to turn ideas and concepts into detailed, buildable plans.

You'll use CAD (Revit) to produce accurate, high-quality drawings for Building Consent approvals, construction documentation, and production take-offs.

Your work will help ensure that every Futura and Aztech building stands out for its quality, functionality, and precision.

Day to day, you'll:

• Create detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings and building models.
• Collaborate with design lead to coordinate and implement practical, efficient structural designs.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy and consistency.
• Support and improve CAD systems, templates, and processes.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients and suppliers to keep projects on track.
• Apply creative thinking and problem-solving to overcome design challenges.

You're detail-oriented, technically minded, and love turning design concepts into buildable realities.You might be an experienced CAD professional or an ambitious technician ready to level up — what matters is your precision, your curiosity, and your drive to do great work.

You'll bring:

• Strong CAD skills (Revit experience highly valued).
• Great attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good numeracy and practical problem-solving ability.
• The ability to visualise and model designs in 3D.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with building or structural design.
• Familiarity with the NZ Building Code.
• An engineering or drafting qualification (NZCE, Diploma, or similar).
