Science Teacher – Part‑time, Fixed Term
An exciting opportunity to join Awatapu College’s Science Department. The successful candidate will be a New Zealand registered teacher, able to deliver senior secondary science subjects and participate in our extensive co‑curricular programme.
Responsibilities- Plan, deliver and assess senior secondary science lessons for Years 10–15.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate science across the curriculum.
- Support students’ learning and wellbeing through co‑curricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental meetings.
- New Zealand registered teacher, teaching science at senior secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and practical experience teaching science.
- Good communication, collaborative and student‑focused.
- Flexibility to work part‑time (0.6–0.8 FTE) and fixed‑term (Term 1 2026 to Term 4 2027).
