  • You will be the Senior Analyst in our Health & Clinical Services team.

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality data analysis and information reporting to enable improved decision making and high-quality monitoring of service performance. You will have primary responsibility for database management, data analysis, and summary reporting across a range of Health and Clinical Services datasets. You will need to be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

The role will work closely with the Principal Advisor Health Outcomes and be connected across the Oranga Tamariki data user community. We want to hear about your experience so have listed some of the key accountabilities here:

  • Undertake data analysis and identify trends in service performance measures to enable operational decision making.
  • Provide regular business reporting services, including reports and performance dashboards.
  • Collate data reports for the Clinical Governance committee about current service performance, trends, and risks.
  • Liaise closely with the front line and business knowledge experts to ensure accurate interpretation and to identify high value meaning from the analysis that is undertaken.
  • Provide the Health & Clinical Services leadership team with data informed operational information and advice.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and respect for the Treaty of Waitangi and incorporate these into your work.

  • Key requirements of the role include:
  • Advanced technical computer and data manipulation skills with the ability to analyse data using the appropriate tools (e.g. MS Excel, MS Access or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to build a Power BI dashboard, or similar data visualisation tools
  • Extensive experience in business information and reporting in a large complex organisation
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences and build and maintain rapport with others to achieve desired outcomes
  • Proven high performance in quality assurance of interpretation and analysis of data
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture.

This role is preferred to be based in our Wellington office. Due to the operational requirements and dynamic nature of the role, it will be beneficial for you to have the close support of the team around you.

  • Annual remuneration for this position is between $106,416 and $117,782 dependant on experience.
