About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance

The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction, Fulton Hogan and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. Estimated project dates are from July 2019 to June 2028.

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on Auckland’s infrastructure? We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Structures Asset Engineer to join our team to deliver best practice asset management and cost-effective maintenance solutions.

The customer will always be front of mind, and you will strive to ensure that our work causes minimal system disruption on our networks bridges, culverts, gantries, CCTV masts, high masts, noise walls, retaining walls, tunnels, UDF (Mahi Toi), buildings and dams.

You will have a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Delivering structural asset inspections to NZTA standards.
• Managing structural asset plans, programmes, and risk-based maintenance.
• Planning, procuring, and financially managing forward structural works.
• Providing structural expertise across capital, third-party, and handover works.
• Supporting incident response with timely inspections and solutions to maintain network safety and performance.

You will work effectively and collaboratively with the wider team, embodying our ASM values in everything you do within your role.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered members of Engineers New Zealand (or equivalent), advantageous but not essential.
• 5+ years structures engineering experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in structures asset management.
