We have vacancy for Full time Truck Driver for serving in the Auckland region. The start and finish of work will be in Auckland and will be working throughout Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Whangarei. We need someone can ensure our fast-moving consumer Dangerous goods from origin to destination within compliance on time, every time. Chem-couriers is a special carrier of packaged chemicals and dangerous goods throughout New Zealand. You will be required to work between minimum 30 hours to maximum 50 hours from Monday – Friday or Saturday if required from 5 AM onwards till 6PM and longer if needed.

 Job Responsibilities

·       Ability to operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.

·       Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and

report any problems or damage to management.

·       Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.

·       Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

·       Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions.

·       Collect and verify delivery instructions.

·       Obliged to take all practical steps to ensure you won safety at work and

the safety of all the other persons at the workplace

·       Taking full responsibility of unit while on duty.

·       Delivering and collecting freight from customers’ sites and other depots

·       Completing all associated paperwork – Including Dangerous Goods paperwork

·       Loading and unloading freight

·       Ensuring all legal requirements for the transport of goods are met

·       Managing customer relations

·       Ensuring all health and safety requirements are followed.

·       A focus on quality and customer service.

Key requirements

ü  To be successful you must have at least 1 year of experience in a driving role

ü  Valid and clean Driver License Class 4

ü  Dangerous Goods (DG), Forklift, and Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Licenses are required

ü  Manual gear box knowledge.

ü  Must be physical fit

ü  Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions.

ü  A sound understanding of Health and Safety along with the logbook requirements.

ü  You should carry out routine checks of your truck.

ü  A positive attitude and a great work ethic

ü  Good communication skills (written and verbal)

ü  Clean Character Background

ü  Be of a standard of fitness sufficient to carry out all duties. 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 per hour to $35 per hour.
