All Trades Contract Services are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to work with our client in Waikato, New Zealand.

Due to the nature of the industry, there could be the future requirement for onsite work outside of Waikato.

About the role:

• Starting wage is $30.00 per hour
• Minimum guranteed 30 hours per week
• Must be available to work weekends

Key tasks and responsibilities:

- Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.

- Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock.

- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting.

- Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, CNC machines, and by heating and hammering.

- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.

- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting.

- Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision.

- Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

- Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
