Position Title: Mental Health Youth Facilitator – Location: Bay of Plenty – Team: Ākonga Navigation Team – Position Type: Full-time, Permanent – Remuneration: $55,970 - $74,626 (fixed remuneration excluding KiwiSaver)
Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive? This non-clinical role empowers ākonga, particularly priority learners and those under 25, by providing proactive mental health support that enhances emotional, social, and academic wellbeing throughout their learner journey.
Through mentoring, guidance, activities, and early intervention, you will strengthen ākonga Te whare tapa whā, fostering connection, participation, and personal growth. Working alongside ākonga, you’ll build trust, identify needs, and connect them with resources and opportunities to succeed.
ResponsibilitiesToi Ohomai Institute of Technology is a vocational education provider in the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato. Home to over 9000 ākonga (students), at Toi Ohomai we put ākonga and kaimahi at the centre of all we do.
