Job Description:

Al Salam Halal Meat is seeking a skilled Halal Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selecting, cutting, trimming, preparing, and arranging meat for sale or supply while ensuring compliance with Halal standards. The role also involves operating meat processing machines and assisting in the production of smallgoods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat, and cutting, mincing, and grinding meat to the required shape and size for display or customer orders.

• Prepare specialty cuts by marinating, seasoning, curing, and crumbing meat.

• Select and process meat for the production of smallgoods.

• Operate meat processing equipment, including grinders, mixers, mincers, and tenderizers.

• Prepare seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt, and other ingredients.

• Operate machinery such as sausage fillers, smoking chambers, cooking kettles, and vats.

• Advise customers on the best cuts of meat and their preparation methods.

• Assist in menu planning, scheduling, and estimating food production costs as needed.

• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are met at all times.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience

• Able to work in a cold environment and stand for a long period.

• Ability to operate meat processing machinery and equipment.

• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.

• Physical stamina for lifting, cutting, and prolonged standing.

• Good customer service and communication skills.
