PROFIX RENOVATION LIMITED, established in 2021, proudly serves clients across the Auckland region. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler to join our small team specializing in the renovation and repair of residential buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and installing a variety of tiles with precision and care. This hands-on role involves working on kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and other interior or exterior spaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet both functional and aesthetic standards.

What we offer:

A Full-time permanent role - 30 minimum guaranteed work hour per week

The rate of pay or salary: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour (depending on the candidates background and experience.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by removing old materials, cleaning, and levelling to ensure a proper base for tiling.
• Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work, following design plans and customer requirements.
• Cut and shape tiles using hand tools or tile-cutting machines.
• Mix and apply adhesives and grouts, and position tiles with precision.
• Install a wide range of tile types (ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic, etc.) on walls and floors.
• Seal and polish tiled surfaces as required.
• Identify and resolve any tiling issues or defects during or after installation.
• Work independently or as part of a team on renovations and repair projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite and follow health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler, particularly in residential renovation and repair projects, or in a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of tiling techniques, materials, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials such as boxes of tiles and adhesives.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Drivers license preferred.
• Ability to speak Vietnamese is a real bonus as our primary clients come from the Asian market, particularly Vietnamese clients. We will certainly consider all candidates.
• Availability to work in weekends and public holidays when required
