Āu Mahi | What You Will Do We are seeking an experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our Tuihono UC | UC Online team.

In this role, you will be a key player in the design, development, and quality improvement of the teams academic offerings. You will collaborate with academic leaders, industry partners, and faculty teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design qualification curricula to meet the needs of online learners and align with the University of Canterburys strategic goals.
  • Implement the academic quality framework across the Universitys faculties for UC Online.
  • Collaborate with the Universitys faculties, service units, external institutions, and industry partners to promote quality, innovation, and external perspectives in the academic environment.

Mōu | Who You Are To be successful in this role you will have strong experience and a deep understanding of online learning frameworks, and have:

  • a positive self-starter with experience to contribute to online course and programme delivery
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • knowledge of NZ tertiary education and qualification frameworks
  • experience developing, testing and implementing innovative solutions for academic processes and quality assurance within online learning environments
  • proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • demonstrated commitment to Māori values, te reo Māori, and inclusive educational practices.
