Settlement Social Worker

Permanent Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

This role falls under the social work pay equity framework and offers a total remuneration package (including base salary and employer KiwiSaver contributions) ranging from $65,874.17 to $98,756.40. Your placement on the pay scale (Category 1, Steps 3-10) will depend on your years of experience as a Social Worker. Please note, this amount is pro-rated based on a 37.5-hour work week.

About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga

Our Social Workers deliver comprehensive assessments, social work, and settlement support for former refugees arriving under New Zealands refugee quota and resettling in Wellington. They provide effective case management and coordinate crisis support while also offering guidance and assistance to settlement case workers and cross-cultural workers, particularly in complex casework situations.

To be successful you will:

• Have a tertiary social work qualification.
• Hold full registration with the Social Worker Registration Board.
• Can demonstrate strengths-based social work and cross-cultural understanding.
• Have relevant experience in social work.
• Have proven experience of the ability to network and build positive working relationships.
