A&V Investments operates a combined vape and grocery retail store in Auckland, committed to providing quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Store Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, lead a small team, and ensure smooth retail operations.

This is a full time role with a minimum of 30 hours gauranteed

The Store Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of retail sales staff and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably. This role will involve managing stock levels, supervising staff performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, particularly in relation to vape product sales.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail sales assistants.

• Ensure customer service standards are maintained and address customer queries and concerns.

• Open and close the store, including handling cash-up procedures and security checks.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock ordering, receiving, and merchandising.

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to the sale of vape products, including age verification.

• Prepare and maintain records of sales, staff rosters, and store performance reports.

• Train new staff members and provide ongoing support and supervision to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Implement and maintain visual merchandising and store presentation standards.

• Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in line with store policies.

• Work closely with the business owner to suggest improvements for increasing sales and customer engagement.

  Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail environment or similar supervisory role.

  • A qualification at NZQF level 2 or 3 may substitute the work experienec requirements.

  • A Bachelors Qualification in any discipline or New Zealand work experience is preffered but strictly not mandatory.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for selling vape products (training can be provided).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.
