Solution Developer - SharePoint Specialist

We are looking for a Solution Developer - SharePoint Specialist who is passionate about leading exceptional technical solutions, challenging business processes and delivering lasting, impactful, and positive change to Te Komihana Tauhokohoko, including implementing and enhancing document & information management solutions using Microsoft technologies.

This is a full-time position that sits within our Organisation Performance and Enablement branch in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

Mo te turanga | About the role

It is an exciting time to join our Technical Operations team as they are at the beginning of their journey to migrate our current document management system to SharePoint.

You will be the subject matter expert that will lead the development and implementation of technology solutions for Te Komihana Tauhokohokos Microsoft portfolio, particularly SharePoint, Power Platform, and Teams to support the Commissions operations.

As a Solution Dveloper - SharePoint Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that meet the Commissions evolving requirements, ensuring they are based on best practice frameworks, methodologies, and standards.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining SharePoint solutions to enhance collaboration, workflow and document management across the organisation.
  • Building innovative applications using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power pages.
  • Diagnosing and advising on privacy, sharing, permission solutions within SharePoint in collaboration with the wider team.
  • Providing technical support for our SharePoint / Teams environment and existing Power Automate workflows
  • Providing mentorship to up-skill support staff in managing technical requests for SharePoint / Teams / Power Automate.
  • Defining process for staying up to date and broadly communicating upcoming changes to SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive products.

The indicative salary range for this role is $104,400 - $141,248 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.

If you have the following skills, experience and attributes, you could make a SharePoint Specialist:

  • Experience in designing, implementing and managing SharePoint environments and other key knowledge management and information/document management systems (Power Automate, Microsoft 365, One Drive).
  • Experience in either business analysis or project management and will be comfortable with gathering information and presenting recommendations across all levels of a business to ensure ease of understanding.
  • Experience in solution design and documentation
  • Ability to manage smaller pieces of work end-to-end - from inception and requirements through to operational handover
  • Experienced in Microsoft Power Platform, including building apps, automating processes and creating insightful reports.
  • Proficient in front-end development on Microsoft power-pages and associated technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
  • Experience with the Public Records act and implementing an EDRMS within Government is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
