Are you a foodie with a passion for great customer service? Do you love creating memorable experiences in a fast-paced environment? Join our team as a Front of House Assistant at our student-focused food pop-up shops!

As a Front of House Assistant, youll be the friendly face customers see when they visit our pop-ups. From taking orders to serving up smiles, your role is all about delivering an exceptional food experience.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

A high level of competency, enthsm, and the ability to work as part of a team is important. Previous experience in the hospitality industry would be an advantage, along with an ability to help develop respect between primary customers and staff.

About our team/Mō te tīma

This position is based in Central Production Kitchen, within the University Unions College Catering Department. Were bringing delicious flavours to The Link in the University Union Building, Wasabi, Uncle Hongs, and Everyday Sundae with our vibrant pop-up food shops. Our goal is to offer students quick, tasty, and unforgettable bites while creating a welcoming atmosphere.

These are permanent, part time, semester time only positions (38 weeks a year, February to November), located in Dunedin, commencing February 2025.

The appointment range is for this role is $25.53 per hour to $26.05 per hour. Hours of work are 20 hours on a rostered basis.

You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for these positions.

The University offers catering staff summer maintenance work as a Trades Assistant to those seeking employment outside of the academic year (November to February).

If there is a need, staff may be relocated to another University College on the Dunedin campus.
