We are looking for a Team Leader who will lead our front-line Security Team on-site at one of our retail sites in Albany. The role is highly dynamic and provides significant opportunity to grow with a supportive organisation committed to developing you.

You must be able to bring a high level of leadership, and communication to lead our close-knit team each day!

About Us:

Red Badge Group is New Zealands leading independent provider of security and crowd management services across Key Facilities.

About the role:

  • Maintain a good relationship with customers, retailers and centre management.
  • Leading and Supervising other guards on shift (i.e. managing breaks and duties)
  • Observing and reporting
  • Responding to emergencies and threats as needed
  • Controlling mall access including lock up/unlock duties
  • Escalate issues, concerns and events to the Site Security manager.
  • Incident and Daily reporting
  • Monitor CCTV
  • Active patrolling of the mall

About you:

  • Some security experience or a Green COA Security License is advantageous; however if not & you are the right person, we can help you obtain one if you are 18 or over, have a clean criminal record & eligible to work in NZ.
  • Must be flexible on availability with day and evening shifts- and must be available to work at least one weekend day each week.
  • Able to take directives on board from Operations Managers
  • Strong communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with the client and take directives.
  • Must be professional, reliable, confident & honest
  • Possess the ability to engage & build relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Must be highly skilled in communication and past experience with leadership
  • Possess a professional work ethic and desire to take responsibility
  • Strong focus on delivering high quality security-solutions
  • Excellent verbal & written English communication skills and attention to detail
  • Physical fitness - able to walk and stand for long periods of time
