Business Services Senior Accountant

This highly reputed Chartered Accounting firm has a rare opportunity for a high performing Business Advisory Services Senior.  My CA client has high staff morale and high staff retention.  People rarely leave as the work is stimulating and interesting due to the types of clients that they have as well as the friendly team and fantastic support from Partners and Managers.

The role:

The work will be varied yet predominately involve the preparation of financial statements and taxation returns. Although there is some processing work, they are not a ‘factory churning out sets of financial statements. The work must be performed with an eye to minimizing the overall taxation liability for the client, ensuring that an effective structure is in place and taking a proactive approach to providing assistance to their clients.

The varied SME client base is made up of some large groups, for which you are dealing with many inter-entity transactions and the associated taxation issues that arise from them, and a range of taxpayers with specific taxation issues (e.g.: overseas investments requiring CFC or FIF disclosures, exchange variation calculations, accruals rules calculations).

Skills required:

You will need to have a minimum of 3 years BAS experience in a reputable NZ CA firm.
