R.K.K ENTERPRISES LIMITED is seeking an Indian Cook to join its Indian takeaway in Christchurch
Key Responsibilities may include:
· Prepare and serve a range of authentic Indian dishes.
· Prepare and cook tandoori dishes using a traditional tandoor oven.
· Ensure food is prepared consistently to a high standard of quality, taste and presentation.
· Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen in accordance with New Zealand food safety requirements.
· Compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
· Assist with stock management
· Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
Skills and Experience for the role;
· At least one year of relevant work experience
· Physically fit-able to stand on foot and lift weights
· Experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine.
· Experience safely operating a traditional tandoor oven.
· A good understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene and cleaning requirements.
· The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy takeaway kitchen.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
Minimum 30 hours a week.
Applicants must be available to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
