Sushil's Musclechef Meals Limited trading as Sushil’s Musclechef Kitchen & Cafe in Aotea is seeking 2x permanent chefs.
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours work per week. The successful applicants must be available six days a week, including weekends and public holidays. You will work a split shift which includes breakfast service, lunch service, followed by dinner service for that appliable day.
Remuneration ranges from $26 - $30 per hour.
To be successful in this role, you must have 2 years work experience in commerical kitchens.
The key duties of a chef include:
· Take responsiblity for an allocated section of the kitchen during service.
· Prepare, cook and serve a variety of dishes and other items according to your allocated section while ensuring items meet standards and dietary requirements.
· Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and to a high quality, and supervise the stock to maintain an adequate supply of ingredients (including ensuring a sufficient amount of prepped food).
· Provide input into menus alongside the head chef.
· Monitor quality of food being produced.
· Estimate and prepare stock ahead of service.
· Undertake and enforce hygiene regulations, including monitoring fridge and storage conditions.
