Yi cart asian supermarket is looking for 2 experienced full-time Cantonese BBQ Cooks to join our team in Auckland. 

To be right for this role and our organization, you need:

At least 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification

Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.

Long-term commitment required.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Select the right meats that perfect for Hong Kong/Cantonese styled BBQ cooking.

Prepare authentic Cantonese items including crispy pork belly, char siu, roasted duck and roasted chicken.

Marinate, glaze, and roast meats using traditional methods and equipment like roast ovens

Manage the tempreture ensure safety and quality standards

Prepare and make side dishes, such as salad and pickles that used to be side of meats.

Handling various meats cutting, and arrange roasted meats for service

Monitor ingredient inventory, such as sourcing high-quality poultry and meat, to reduce wastage

Place orders with suppliers in a timely manner.

Keep kitchen tidy and clean to meet health and hygiene
