We are seeking a reliable, skilled Carpenter to join our Waikato team. You’ll work across residential and/or light commercial projects, delivering quality workmanship, meeting deadlines, and maintaining safe work practices. Duties & responsibilities • Interpret plans, specifications, and site instructions; measure and set out work accurately • Frame, install, and finish building components (e.g., walls, floors, roofs, cladding, linings) • Carry out formwork, fix-outs, renovations, maintenance, and general carpentry tasks as required • Install fixtures and fittings (e.g., doors, windows, hardware, cabinetry/joinery as required) • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly; maintain tools and site cleanliness • Identify issues onsite and communicate solutions with the site lead/manager • Follow all Health & Safety requirements and company procedures • Work collaboratively with other trades and site personnel to meet build timelines Pre-requisites • Minimum 2 years relevant carpentry experience and/or a Level 4 qualification in carpentry (or equivalent) • Ability to work independently and produce consistently high-quality work • Good understanding of safe work practices and on-site compliance Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (typically 30–45 hours, depending on workload)
