As an experienced and passionate Cook who is looking for a daytime role, we would love to meet you, chat about this exciting opportunity, and introduce you to our friendly and supportive team.

As Cook, your primary focus is ensuring that all food preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to the established recipes, policies and procedures.

The position:

• Fulltime, Monday to Friday, 7.30am  to 4.00pm (later finish times may sometimes be required).
• Preparing and cooking vegetarian meals for approximately 100 tamariki each day
• Ability to cater for dietary and allergy requirements is essential for this role
• Responsible for ordering, and working within a budget
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
• Kindercare police vet all potential employees

Who are you?

An experienced Cook who is:

• Competent in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
• Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness, and adhering to our policies and procedures
• A cheerful multi-tasker, with excellent time-management skills
• Willing to do cleaning, laundry and restocking supplies
• Flexibility to help out with other duties within the Centre
• Has strong organisation skills and time management
• A clear communicator who values the importance of team work
• Experienced in food preparation and food safety is preferred
