An opportunity to join a well-established Auckland-based glass manufacturing company. We are currently seeking three full-time, permanent CNC Machine Operators. Applicants must have at least 2 years' relevant work experience or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or above) and be able to communicate effectively in English to safely perform the duties of the role. We offer an hourly rate of NZD $26–$30, depending on skills and experience, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, working Monday to Saturday.
1. Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.
2. Provide the sketches, drawings, illustrations for the products manufacture;
3. Set up BAINENG or South Tech system and operate any Two of the following: including Auto Glass Cutting Machine, Digital Drilling Hole Machine, Water Jet Machine, CNC Working Station, Glass Toughen Furnace, Glass Laminated Machine and IGU Glass Machine etc. other manufacture equipment.
4. Prepare pattern mechanisms to control the operation of machines for detailed patterns for products.
5. Cutting, shaping and forming glass as per drawings to fine tolerances to ensure the product is fit for further use.
6. Back up other manufacturing daily work including polish machine and factory work according to our ongoing projects.
7. Observe machine operation to detect workplace defects or machine malfunctions, adjust machines as necessary.
8. Carry out general machine maintenance.
9. Manually glass moving and lifting, follow Health & Safety policies within the company.
10. Can interpret custom and template blueprint into Auto CAD formation and order specification.
11. Run routine examinations and tests to diagnose faults and errors.
12. Assist other glass related projects.
13. Other relevant job duties notified by the employer.
