Job Title: Junior Programmer
Type of Employment: Permanent, 30 – 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $35-$40 per hour
Location: Auckland region
Number of Vacancies: 1
Tasks:
• Research, consult, analyse and evaluate system program requirements based on defined business and functional specifications
• Identify and assess technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems, and associated processes, procedures, and methods
• Write and maintain program code to meet system requirements, technical designs, and specifications in accordance with established quality standards
• Modify and update existing program code to ensure ongoing system functionality and alignment with system requirements
• Test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults in application code in line with established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards
• Ensure programs and applications perform in accordance with defined system specifications and technical requirements
• Prepare, update and maintain technical program documentation, including system specifications and operational procedures
• Develop and maintain end-user documentation to support system usage and functionality
• Provide technical input and guidance in relation to software design activities, including contributing to evaluation and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades
Key Requirements:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in an IT-relevant discipline, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
