The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) supports the government of the day by leading, advising, stewarding and delivering activities across the public sector, and by providing dedicated advice and support to the Governor-General, Prime Minister and portfolio Ministers.

About the Role

The National Assessments Bureau (NAB) is part of New Zealand's intelligence community, providing independent, all-source assessments to inform government decision-making on national security and foreign policy.

We are looking for an experienced people leader to step into the role of Manager, Analytic Enablement. This is a unique opportunity to shape the systems, processes, and capability that underpin NAB's critical work, while leading a high-performing team and influencing outcomes at the centre of government.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Analytic Enablement (AE) team, supporting staff and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the secure processing, publication, and dissemination of NAB reports and classified intelligence.
  • Lead the development of analytic standards, coordinate training, and ensure quality assurance processes drive continual improvement.
  • Maintain expertise in protective and information security requirements, and implement systems to manage risks and ensure compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners, NZIC counterparts, and other key stakeholders to enable collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead and develop a capable, high-performing team to deliver NAB's priorities.
