SmartFix NZ is looking for a Mobile Phone Technician to repair and maintain mobile phones and electronic devices. The role includes finding faults, repairing damaged parts, testing devices, and providing good customer service. The employee must ensure all repairs are completed properly and devices are working correctly before returning them to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checking and diagnosing problems in mobile phones and electronic devices.
  • Taking apart and repairing mobile phones and then putting them back together correctly.
  • Replacing damaged or faulty parts such as screens, batteries, charging ports, speakers, cameras, and other components.
  • Testing mobile phones after repair to make sure they are working properly.
  • Using repair tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Finding wiring or component problems and repairing or replacing faulty parts.
  • Keeping records of repairs, parts used, and customer details.
  • Preparing and explaining repair quotations and costs to customers.
  • Giving customers advice about proper use and safe handling of devices.
  • Reading repair manuals and following company repair procedures.
  • Completing repair work within required timeframes while maintaining good quality standards.
  • Keeping the work area clean and safe.
  • Working with the manager and team members to provide good customer service.
  • Performing any other duties requested by the manager or the business.

Skills and Requirements

  • Must have eighter Level 4 qualification or two year relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of mobile phones and electronic devices
  • Good problem solving and repair skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability work longer hours and weekend 

Location: Auckland       

Number of Position: 1

Duration: Permanent fulltime – 30 to 35 hours per week 

Wage Rate: $27 - 32 per hour
