Milk & Honey is a well-established beachfront café and restaurant in Napier, proudly serving our community since 2008. Known for our high-quality dining experience, exceptional service, and vibrant atmosphere, we offer everything from premium breakfasts to elegant dinners and handcrafted cocktails. We are looking for a Restaurant Manager, and 3 Chefs to join our team. Our establishment opens from 7 am – 9 pm and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Position – Restaurant Manager

We are currently seeking ONE experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are committed, energetic, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences. This is a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 30 hours and up to 50 hours per week. Weekend availability is essential. You may be asked to work in morning and evening shifts depending upon the circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service, discuss menu with kitchen staff to improvise the same.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team to maintain high standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer feedback.
• Manage staff rosters, stock control, and reporting.
• Maintain health & safety and hygiene standards.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bar teams.

Qualification/Work Experience
• You must have a relevant qualification in hospitality or management at at least a diploma
level and at least 6-12 months of experience of managing a team.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
• A hands-on attitude with attention to detail.

Milk and Honey in Napier Central Hawkes Bay is seeking an experienced and passionate 3 x CDPs to join their dynamic team. This full-time role will see you play a key part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. This is a full-time permanent role with a minimum of 30 hours and up to 45 hours per week. Weekend availability is essential. You may be asked to work in morning and evening shifts depending upon the circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
 Preparing and cooking high-quality Asian and/or European cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
 Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and to the highest safety and hygiene standards.
 Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items.
 Supervising and training kitchen staff to maintain consistent food quality.
 Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
 Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualification/Work Experience
 Minimum 1 years of experience as a Demi Chef/Cook/Chef in a fast-paced restaurant, hospitality or catering environment.
 Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes.
 Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
 Ability to work well in a team and provide effective supervision and training to kitchen staff.
 Good time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
 Qualifications in Hospitality or Culinary Arts would be an advantage but not necessarily required.
