We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable candidate for the Retail Buyer’s position.

Minimum level 4 qualification or Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar field required, we will provide all the necessary training. 

It is a Full-time role working minimum 35 hours per week, we need people who are committed and turn up to work on time unless they have a reasonable excuse.

Job description:

  • Buying items in line with store protocol.
  • Evaluate supplier and product options according to prices, quality, availability and determine the best choices
  • Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
    Build and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing
  • Maintaining stock levels utilizing seasonal trends and sales activities
  • Set and maintain stock levels as, review these in conjunction with the individual department management.
  • Develop, review and implement pricing schemes
  • Managing display material and sales promotional programme. 
  • Liasing with sales representatives
  • Administering of new product lines, set up and management of initial order.
  • Product reviews regularly for various departments. Managing expired stock.
  • Checking the quality and popularity of products already on our shelves
  • Plan and implement product placement strategies for marketing and promotional activities for other departments 
  • Training staff on systems for management of stock and receipting.
  • Inspect deliveries for shipping errors, improper handling, or quality issues.
  • Ensure that orders are delivered on time and at cost.
  • Resolve billing and shipping problems and provide information to suppliers.
  • Identify customer preferences, forecast consumer trends/customer satisfaction and adjust your strategies accordingly
  • Ordering samples to test the market and uptake of new products
  • Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
  • Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
  • Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
  • To remain up-to-date with the market’s trends, attend events, fairs and exhibitions to remain up-to-date with the market's trends
