Our client based in Penrose is looking for an experienced Sandblaster / Spray Painter to join their workshop team. This role is ideal for someone with strong sandblasting and spray-painting experience who enjoys hands-on work in a light engineering environment.
What the role involves Your main focus will be preparing and coating large metal bins and components to a high standard. Duties include:

  • Sandblasting metal surfaces to remove rust, grime, and old coatings
  • Surface preparation including cleaning and masking
  • Spray painting large metal bins and components
  • Ensuring coatings are applied evenly and to quality standards
  • Assisting with basic repairs, fabrication, and welding tasks when required
  • General workshop duties to support the team
What we’re looking for
  • Proven sandblasting experience (essential)
  • Spray painting experience, ideally on large metal items
  • Good understanding of surface preparation and finishing processes
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on workshop work
  • Welding experience is beneficial
  • Forklift licence and welding tickets are a bonus
  • Reliable and able to work well in a team
What’s on offer
  • $28 per hour
  • Monday – Friday | 6:00am – 2:30pm
