We are looking for 1 Seafood Process worker to join our small team. The position is fulltime and can start straight away. Hours are flexible and may include night shifts and weekends depending on the job orders. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilites:
Preparation
Skinning, trimming, washing, gilling, gutting, filleting, shucking, and descaling seafood
Removing bones from fish
Preparing fish for processing by removing skin or excess flesh
Grading and packing
Sorting, inspecting, and grading seafood products for size and quality
Counting and packing prepared seafood for freezing
Packing frozen seafood blocks into cartons
Weighing meat, fish, or shellfish
Cleaning
Cleaning the processing area and packing line with hot water or sanitizing chemicals
Maintaining processing machinery and other equipment
Quality Control
Carrying out hygiene and quality control checks
Checking products and packaging for defects and compliance to company standards
Other tasks
Unloading fish and shellfish from fishing vessels
Transporting fish and shellfish to work area
Transporting supplies and packaging materials
Qualifications: Having a relevant qualification is an advantage but not required.
Work Experience: Having a relevant work experience is an advantage but not required. Training will be provided
Hours: Minimum granted hours of 30 per week.
Hourly rate or Salary band: $25.00 to $35.00
