Job Purpose Propylon has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our innovative, software solutions business dedicated to driving digital transformation in the legal landscape. The successful candidate will work within our LWB 360 team, which is responsible for supporting software solutions built on Propylon’s core products for Propylon’s customers worldwide. The role is a client-facing role and will involve working directly Propylon’s clients. The role of Senior Business Analyst at Propylon is suitable for someone with several years of experience, having previously worked as a Senior Business Analyst, where the position involved analysis, planning and systems analysis, preferably in a client-facing position. This role contributes to the specification, design, and implementation of document workflow software solutions in a client environment. Responsibilities: · Autonomously plan, manage, and track analysis activities on a project alongside the Project Manager. · Work closely with the developers across time zones and client subject matter experts throughout the course of each project to ensure client requirements are fully understood and successfully delivered in the Propylon’s suite of products. · Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyse business requirements, process workflows, and system functionalities. Identify gaps, opportunities, and potential risks in current processes. · Act as a mentor for Business Analysts and ensure knowledge transfer throughout the team. · Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging professional growth and development. · Plan and facilitate requirement gathering workshops with key stakeholders, including internal and external Senior Management, to gather business requirements that enable the creation of user stories and development tasks. · Build an excellent relationship with all stakeholders and own peers. Be the point of contact to ensure blockers and issues are identified and resolved. · Document Functional Specifications and work closely with the Technical Lead and the Business Analysis team to support the solution design and ensuring successful implementation of customer requirements. · Prepare, document and implement activities for the deployment phase of each assigned project, including client training/demo sessions, user guide documentation and internal knowledge share. · Lead the creation of comprehensive and accurate documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, user guides, and training material. · Work with the client and internal project team members to identify and resolve technical issues. · Create an understanding and expertise of the client businesses to stay up to date with customer needs. Manage expectations through proactive and regular client communications with both formal and informal communication methods. · Lead presentations and demonstrations to both existing and potential clients. · Define, plan and execute manual test scripts. · Identify and recommend best practices to be used within the team of Business Analysts by bringing experience and learned lessons into the team. Requirements: · 3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role, delivering enterprise software solutions to Government or Public bodies. · Computer Science, IT or Legal and Public Administration degree, or equivalent. · Excellent business analysis skills and understanding of business requirements is a must. · Experience of writing Business Requirements and/or Functional Specification documents. · Proven Legislative client facing experience ranging from large scale demonstrations to one on one user training. · Experience with the principles of SDLC and output centric design methodologies. · Ability to understand and document complex document-centric workflows and to conceptualize them in IT terms. · Experience of the legislative process in Westminster and US jurisdictions, including but not limited to: o Structure of legislation. o Form of and rules around amendatory instructions. o Legislative workflows. o Managing Codifications, Compilations and Consolidations. · Ability to self-start and work in pressured environment with deadlines. · Experience in managing, motivating and mentoring a team. · Overall technical knowledge and skills. · Experience with manual software testing. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proven decision-making capabilities. Nice to haves: · Certified BA qualification. · Experience working with Propylon products and solutions · Experience with Office-style applications e.g. ability to create macros, spreadsheet formulas etc. · Experience with Balsamiq, Figma or other design applications. · Experience using EDraw, Visio, Miro or other diagram and process mapping tools. · Experience with database reporting tools. · Experience working with JIRA. · Experience working in an agile team.
