The Opportunity

You’ll work across a range of civil infrastructure, land development and multidisciplinary projects, taking them from concept through to delivery.

This role sits at the core of our engineering team. You’ll provide strong technical input, mentor junior staff, coordinate stakeholders and work closely with clients and internal specialists including survey, planning and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing strong technical leadership and problem‑solving, contributing to the successful delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Leading and contributing to civil infrastructure and land development projects across a variety of sectors.
• Mentoring and supporting a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence, high standards and professional growth.
• Engaging closely with clients and external stakeholders, building trusted relationships and representing Civix professionally.
• Applying strong Civil 3D capability to support quality assurance, compliance reviews and occasional hands‑on design input, while maintaining an overall focus on leadership and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years’ experience with a degree in Civil Engineering (or similar).
• Proven experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects in New Zealand.
• Strong Civil 3D design capability, with confidence reviewing and assuring technical outputs.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring engineers and contributing to team performance.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• High personal standards, strong accountability and pride in delivering quality outcomes.
