We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to provide technical leadership and strategic oversight across our IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
This role can be based in New Plymouth, Wellington, or Auckland, with flexibility to balance location, collaboration, and lifestyle.
About the roleAs a Senior Security Engineer, you will be a trusted technical authority responsible for protecting systems that matter. You’ll lead the design and continuous improvement of security controls, play a key role in cybersecurity risk and change management, and act as an escalation point for complex security incidents.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and works closely with technology, operations, and business leaders to balance security, resilience, and delivery outcomes across a critical infrastructure environment.
What you will be doingThis role requires a professional with a deep technical understanding of enterprise security domains—ranging from identity and networking to cloud and endpoint security—balanced with the composure needed to operate in high-risk or regulated sectors.
You won’t just be managing systems; you will be a key influencer, providing leadership and guidance to both technical teams and senior stakeholders to drive meaningful security outcomes.
