Courier Driver

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Courier Driver in Queenstown, New Zealand. This is a full time role of 40 hours per week. Salary of between $25 to $30 per hour depending on skill set and experience.

As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and parcels to our valued customers. We are a leading company in Queenstown Lakes & Otago and offer competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to transport packages and goods to designated locations within Queenstown and surrounding areas.
• Plan and organize daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring they are securely stowed in the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures from customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service by handling inquiries and resolving any delivery-related issues professionally and promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself, other road users, and the packages being transported.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license, or ability to easily attain drivers license within two months of beginning with us.
• Minimum previous experience as a courier driver or similar role of 2 years or more.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize deliveries effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player.
• Good customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Physical stamina to lift and move packages.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile communication devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• No formal qualification required.
