Published: 19/03/2025 Job Location: / New Zealand Were on the hunt for innovative, driven, and collaborative manager to join our Quality Team in the role of Vendor Supplier Quality Assurance Manager. Reporting to the Head of Food Safety and Quality, this full time, permanent role will work across our Papakura & Wiri Manufacturing plants. The Vendor Supplier Quality Assurance Manager ANZ will be responsible for establishing and sustaining strong quality assurance processes, systems, and supplier relationships to reduce risk, enhance supplier performance, and promote ongoing improvement across the supply chain. This role plays a critical role in safeguarding consumer trust and confidence in the safety and quality of all Intersnack ANZ products. Through effective leadership, implementing robust quality assurance processes, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement, they contribute to the organizations success in delivering safe, high-quality food products to the market. What youll be responsible for:

• Develop and implement approved supplier quality assurance programs, strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards, customers, and regulatory requirements.
• Standardise the Quality Assurance program collaborating with global Intersnack.
• Participate and administer regular audits/ assessments of suppliers to evaluate quality management systems.
• Develop & maintain approved supplier data base.
• Working closely with suppliers to implement corrective and preventative actions and resolving quality issues.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Innovation, Site Quality Managers, Central Quality team and manufacturing, to establish quality requirements and specifications.
• Lead supplier qualification and approval processes.
• Monitor and analyse supplier performance metrics and identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop concise and meaningful quality KPIs for monthly reports.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in supplier quality management.

What youll bring to the role?

• 5+ years Quality experience or Vendor Assurance within food manufacturing, - youll be a seasoned food safety & quality professional!
• Tertiary Qualification with Bachelor / Master of Science degree in a science-based field (e.g. Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Packaging Science); Advanced degree preferred.
• Leadership experience - you lead from the front, are influential when driving change.
• Qualified auditor or proven experience preferred.
• Sound technical understanding of the latest food safety & quality systems, processes, and regulations.
• Sound knowledge and experience with Quality standards (GFSSI Certification Scheme or SQF equivalent will be of advantage)
• Excellent communication and cross-functional relationship building skills, with the ability to influence when required.
• Proven experience leading food safety external audits with suppliers
• Ability to take a strategic view and create a vision whilst being able to adopt a hands-on approach where required.
• An innovative mindset- you are not afraid to challenge the status quo and throw new ideas into the mix.
