Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping for clients.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare and process payroll.
Assist with GST returns and other compliance requirements.
Maintain accounting records using cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks).
Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping and financial matters.
Support accountants with year-end reporting and other administrative tasks.
Essential Requirements
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience (preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in Mandarin (spoken).
Proficient in reading and writing Chinese (Simplified and/or Traditional Chinese).
Ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and assist with Chinese-language documents and correspondence.
Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
2+ years of Experience working in an accounting firm.
Knowledge of New Zealand accounting and tax requirements (or relevant local regulations).
