Our client is a well-established locally owned company, who has provided specialist services to the dairy and agricultural sectors for over 30 years.  From dairy systems and water infrastructure through to pumps, filtration and effluent solutions, they play a critical role supporting farms throughout the region.
Due to continued demand, we're looking for a practical and versatile General Engineer to join the team in Invercargill.
This is a varied role that combines workshop fabrication with on farm installation, maintenance, and repair work. No two days are the same, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands on engineering and being out in the field. Whether you're already experienced in the sector or looking to bring your trade skills across and learn something new, you'll quickly find plenty of variety and challenge here.
What you'll be doing:

• General fabrication and engineering work
• MIG, TIG and ARC welding
• Repairing and modifying agricultural and dairy equipment
• Working both in the workshop and on customer sites
• Assisting with installation and maintenance projects across Southland

What we're looking for:

• Strong practical engineering and problem solving skills
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding across fabrication, maintenance, and repair work
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload
• Reliable, fit, punctual and safety conscious
• Trade qualification advantageous but not essential
• Positive team member and contributor
