About Us
Unique Contracting Limited, based in Lynfield, Auckland, is a construction company specialising in residential property building, renovation, and maintenance projects across the Auckland region. Due to business growth and internal restructuring, we are seeking SIX experienced Carpenters to join our expanding team. It is a full time permanent position, and you will be working a minimum of 30 hours to a maximum of 50 hours per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications to plan carpentry work.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and other structural materials to construct and repair frameworks, walls, roofs, doors, windows, decks, and fences in residential buildings.
  • Install interior fittings such as cabinets, staircases, and partitions.
  • Perform renovation, maintenance, and repair work on existing buildings, ensuring quality finishes.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work complies with the New Zealand Building Code, site safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, managing materials and site waste properly.
  • Occasionally assist with small commercial or light construction projects.
  • Perform any other related tasks as directed by the site manager.

To fit his position, you are required:

  • At least one years of full-time construction or carpentry experience, or
    a Level 4 qualification (e.g., NZ Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent), or a bachelor’s degree in any field.）
  • Knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and safe work practices.
  • Reliable, punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Physically fit and with a clean criminal record.
