This client is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Accountant and a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities as Intermediate Accountant:
- Manage a client portfolio, supported by juniors, seniors, and managers
- Develop confidence in client communication, working alongside partners and managers
- Deliver compliance work efficiently and accurately (financial statements, tax returns, GST)
- Contribute to client discussions beyond compliance, supporting advisory work
- Help improve turnaround times and reduce workflow pressure across the team
Key Responsibilities as Senior Accountant:
- Preparing income tax returns and compliance financial accounts across various entity types
- Managing cash flow planning, budgeting, and other advisory engagements
- Communicating directly with clients and responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Allocating work, supervising and reviewing team output to ensure quality standards are met
- Coaching and supporting junior staff, including contributing to internal training sessions
- Working alongside Managers, Principals, and Partners on more complex advisory matters
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax, accounting standards, and firm processes
What you'll bring as an Intermediate Accountant:
- Solid grounding in compliance (financial statements and tax)
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple jobs
- Confident communicator, with the willingness to engage with clients (with support) and contribute to discussions beyond pure compliance
- Interest in technology and tools (including AI) to improve efficiency and workflow
- A mindset focused on learning, improvement, and progression
What You’ll Bring as a Senior Accountant:
- Degree in Business (Accounting major) and full CA membership (or equivalent)
- 3 - 4 years’ experience within a Chartered Accounting firm
- Strong technical capability across income tax returns and financial statements
- Experience preparing compliance accounts and managing multiple client deadlines
- Confidence reviewing work and coaching junior team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a willingness to build broader technology capability
- Exposure to digital tools and emerging technologies (including AI‑enabled accounting or advisory tools) is advantageous, with a willingness to adapt to evolving ways of working
- Exposure to IFRS and/or cross border clients is highly regarded
- Solid grounding in compliance (financial statements and tax)
