Job Title: Management Accountant Location: Wellington (CBD) Type: Permanent - Full Time

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a respected organisation based in central Wellington. This is a permanent opportunity where you will play a key role in providing financial insight, analysis, and advice to support decision-making and the delivery of strategic outcomes. You will be working within a kind, cohesive team lead by leader that has your back.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse, and report on monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets.
• Provide financial advice and support to business units across the organisation.
• Partner with non-financial managers to help them understand financial performance and drivers.
• Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with government financial policies and reporting requirements.
• Assist in continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting.
• Contribute to annual planning and reporting cycles.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within government or a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Confidence in business partnering with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of financial management, reporting standards, and government processes.
• CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification, or working towards.
• Strong systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other large ERP systems) with advanced Excel skills.
