To oversee and manage the daily operations of seafood processing facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff in seafood processing.
Ensure all seafood products are processed according to company, MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries), and importing country standards.
Monitor production workflow to meet deadlines and maintain product quality.
Conduct quality checks and enforce hygiene and food safety protocols.
Perform pre-operation checks on hygiene, equipment, and amenities.
Monitor pest control measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure staff wear appropriate PPE and follow contamination prevention procedures.
Train, coach, and mentor production staff.
Maintain accurate records of production, quality, export quantities, and waste management.
Collaborate with sales and quality inspectors to resolve production issues.
Ensure equipment is maintained and safety procedures are followed.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure post-production cleaning is completed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within seafood or food processing OR
Minimum 2 years experience in a seafood or food processing industry
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards.
Leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Flexible with working hours, including early mornings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20–25 kg.
Standing for extended periods in cool/wet environments.
Manual handling and use of processing equipment.
