We are on the hunt for a proactive Administrator with Health and Safety knowledge based in our clients Christchurch Branch.About the role
Rightmove Recruitment NZ Ltd is seeking an Administrator with Health and Safety knowledge to join our engineering client’s team in Christchurch. This is a full-time position, with a near 50/50 split on General Admin duties and Health and Safety. 
What you'll be doing
  • General Administration Duties including but not limited to - Accounts, sales, inventory, record keeping, stock ordering, customer service via email or phone. 
  • Manage and maintain the company's health and safety policies, procedures and documentation
  • Coordinate and record health and safety training for all staff
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments
  • Investigate and document any incidents or accidents, and implement corrective actions
  • Liaise with external health and safety authorities and service providers
What we're looking for
  • Relevant experience in an administration role, preferably from a Manufacturing or mechanical based environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification or Higher is preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organisation
  • Proficient in using health and safety management software and other computer systems. 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
